SEO for Google’s AI answers, ChatGPT, and AI search

GEO & AEO Services

I help businesses improve how they’re represented in AI search. I review the questions potential customers ask, the sources AI tools cite, and the information on your website, then work on the content and technical issues we identify.

01

Find the questions customers ask

I research customer questions using search data and competitor reviews, then check a selected set in the agreed AI tools. I record the platform, language, and date so the observations can be compared later.

02

Review the answers and sources

I check whether the business is mentioned, how its services are described, and which pages are cited. Missing or inaccurate information helps us identify useful changes. A brand mention and a clickable source link are recorded separately.

03

Improve the information on your site

The work can include clearer service descriptions, well-supported answers, author information, product details, and links between related pages. I use your actual experience and approved information rather than add unsupported claims or write pages for every possible question.

04

Check technical access

I review whether important pages can be crawled, rendered, and indexed, along with internal links and relevant structured data. GEO—generative engine optimization—and AEO—answer engine optimization—build on these SEO foundations; they don’t require a separate trick or special AI markup.

05

Measure the right things

Where available, Search Console’s Generative AI report provides Google-side visibility data. For other tools, I compare the agreed questions and cited pages over time, and review referral visits in Analytics when identifiable. AI answers vary, and no service can guarantee a citation or recommendation.

Working together

You know who is doing the work.

You work directly with me. We agree what matters, document the plan and keep track of what changes.

  1. 01

    Understand the website

I review what you sell, who your customers are, and what you want to improve. Your pages and existing search data help me see where to start.

  2. 02

    Research the opportunities

I compare your content and technical setup with the search results. I look for missing information, underperforming pages, and problems that make the site harder to use or find.

  3. 03

    Make the changes

We agree on the work and fee before starting. I update content and WordPress pages, or work with your team on changes that need a developer.

  4. 04

    Check and report

I check the published changes and report on relevant search performance, traffic, and customer inquiries where tracking is available. That helps us choose the next priorities.

01The work behind the pages
On my publishing sites, I use search research and site-specific briefs to improve direct answers, supporting sources and internal links. AI helps with drafting and repeatable tasks; I review claims and the finished page before publication.
02What I can demonstrate
My Zovovo report includes Google AI Overviews and AI Mode visibility for 18 May–1 August 2026. Supplement Explained has a separate 11 June–10 September 2026 reporting window, with around 40% of its Google AI impressions coming from the US.
03Reading the results
The figures describe Google’s AI features, not ChatGPT citations or sales. Each project page includes the dates and metric definitions for its results.

01Questions to track
Agreed customer questions, with platform, language, country, and review date.
02Citation record
Keep brand mentions and clickable source citations separate; record the actual cited URL, not just a visibility score.
03Content action
Connect an observed gap to a useful page improvement. Recheck under comparable conditions; one answer is not a ranking guarantee.

FAQ

A few useful answers

Is GEO the same as using AI to write content?

No. AI-assisted writing is a production method. GEO and AEO focus on how a business and its information appear in AI-generated answers. Content quality, accuracy, and technical access still matter.

Can you make my business appear in ChatGPT?

I can investigate how it currently appears and improve information on your website. I cannot control which sources ChatGPT or another system selects, so inclusion isn’t guaranteed.

Which platforms will you check?

We agree on the relevant tools and questions first. These may include ChatGPT, Google’s AI answers, or Perplexity, depending on your audience and access.

How do you track improvement?

Google reporting, sampled AI answers, and referral traffic answer different questions. I keep them separate and compare like-for-like observations rather than combine everything into one visibility score.

Do I need an AI tracking subscription?

Not necessarily at the start. A limited set of questions can be reviewed manually. If repeated checks across more platforms or markets are needed, we can assess a suitable tool and its cost separately.
